Pastor:
Passage: Exodus 25:1-30:38
Sunday Morning:

Exodus 25-30, Hebrews 9-10

BRIDGING THE GAP

1. OT: The TABERNACLE was the place to meet with God.
NT: Jesus comes down to TABERNACLE with men.

2. OT: Few have direct ACCESS TO GOD, but only on certain days.
NT: All may come to God THROUGH JESUS.

3. OT: SACRIFICES are required to worship God and APPEASE HIS WRATH.
NT: The sacrifice of Jesus provides COMPLETE FORGIVENESS and ATONEMENT for sin.

4. OT: The Tabernacle was at the CENTER OF LIFE for the Jews.
NT: Jesus is the both MEANS and the END of our worship.

SIGNIFICANCE FOR US TODAY:

By understanding and embracing how the tabernacle and sacrificial system finds fulfillment in Christ, we have...

ASSURANCE of forgiveness. (vv. 11-18)

CONFIDENCE to approach God. (vv.19-23

HOPE in God's promises. (vv. 22-23)

A COMMUNITY to encourage and remind us of who and what we have. (vv. 24-25)

No REASON to not look elsewhere. (vv. 26-27)
