Fight for Joy (Psalm 63:1-7)

Terry Coon, September 8, 2013
Part of the The Body of Christ series, preached at a Midweek Meeting service

Main Thought:

An IDENTIFYING MARK of a Christian is a life characterized by JOY.

Defining Joy:

"Joy is the settled assurance that God is in control of all the details of my life, the quiet confidence that ultimately everything is going to be alright, and the determined choice to praise God in every situation." - Kay Warren

How David Teaches Us to Fight for Joy:

1. REACH OUT
- TO GOD
- FOR GOD

2. REMEMBER:
- GOD PAST AND PRESENT FAITHFULNESS
- THE CROSS

3. RELEASE:
- DOUBT AND FEAR
- PRAYER AND PRAISE
