Knowing God through fixing the mind (Psalm 23:4-6)

Tom Demorest, March 6, 2016
Part of the Knowing God series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Practicing the presence of God: We know God not just by breaking from the realities of life to experience Him, but also by experiencing Him through the realities of life.

The problem: Our lives are undisciplined because our minds are undisciplined. (Rom 12:2a)

The Answer: Fix your mind on the wonderful reality of God's presence with you. (2 Cor. 10:5)

Awareness of God's presence will bring:
1. Comfort thru hard times. (Ps 23:4-5)
2. Fullness of life. (Ps 23:5b-6a)
3. A taste of Heaven (Ps 23:6b)

This week's homework to enjoy: Wear a physical reminder of God's presence with you all week.
