CITYLIGHTS Church is a new church emerging in downtown Long Beach. We are a community of people who sincerely love God and desire to make a difference in our city. Join us as we seek to impact our community by becoming a church that will be known, characterized, and set-apart by having an uncommon love for God, each other, and Long Beach.
Here is what you can expect at CITYLIGHTS:
CASUAL ATMOSPHERE
At CITYLIGHTS, you don’t need to get dressed up to come to church. Wear whatever you want – jeans, shorts, t-shirts, sandals. We have created an atmosphere that is both welcoming and comfortable. Just grab a coffee and donut (free of charge, of course), sit down and enjoy the Worship Gathering.
FRIENDLY PEOPLE
At CITYLIGHTS, you’ll find real people – in other words, people just like you. It is not about a building, a place, or an organization – our church is about people! The people at CITYLIGHTS are friendly, warm, non-judgmental, welcoming, and loving. Come as you are, and be yourself!
AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIPS
At CITYLIGHTS, church isn’t just a once-a-week event – it is about relationships! CITYLIGHTS is a place where you can make new friends, deepen existing friendships, and be loved and accepted as you are. We know that authentic relationships are hard to come by, and that’s why we’re making them a big emphasis! (Ask us about our mid-week small groups)
FAMILY ENVIRONMENT
At CITYLIGHTS, we love kids! Every week, we offer a Kid’s Program (birth through 5th Grade) during our 11:00 AM Worship Gathering. Our team of dedicated teachers will prepare a fun and interactive program for the kids with stories, crafts, games, and snacks, all in a fun and safe environment. We think your kids will love it!
RELEVANT TEACHING
At CITYLIGHTS, each week you will hear a creative message from the Bible that will easily apply to your life. We want you to walk out of CITYLIGHTS with a greater understanding of God’s plan for your life. If you are just checking out what Christianity is all about, you’ll easily understand what we are talking about. If you’ve been a follower of Jesus for years, plan to be challenged in your faith.
A WORTHWHILE CAUSE
At CITYLIGHTS, one of our core values is being “socially responsible.” We truly desire to make a difference in our city. We are currently partnering with several non-profit organizations that work with at-risk teens, underprivileged preschoolers, adults in rehabilitation, single mothers, etc. Join us and give yourself to a worthwhile cause!
ETHNIC/CULTURAL DIVERSITY
At CITYLIGHTS, we value people from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Long Beach is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in America. We desire for our church to reflect the rich ethnic and cultural diversity that is unique to our city.
